Event Terms & Participation Policy

This page explains the participation rules for Study & Chill Lounge events and trips. It is intended to keep events fair, safe, and easy to coordinate.

2. Non-profit and Cost Coverage

Study & Chill Lounge is a non-commercial student initiative. If an event has a fee, it is used only to cover real costs (for example transport, venue, equipment, or materials). We do not sell products or run events for profit.

3. Who Can Participate

Our events are generally open to students and members of the academic community. For some activities we may request a university email to help keep events safe and manageable.

4. Registration, Attendance, and Cancellations

Some events require registration (RSVP) because of limited capacity. If you register and cannot attend, please cancel as early as possible so another student can take the spot.

For paid events (for example trips), refunds and transfer rules are shown on the event page and/or the ticketing page (e.g., Pretix). Where allowed, tickets may be transferable to another student within the stated deadline.

5. Safety and Code of Conduct

We expect respectful behavior. Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct is not tolerated. Organizers may refuse participation or ask someone to leave if needed to protect others or the event environment.

6. Liability

Participation is at your own responsibility. For off-campus activities and trips, participants are responsible for their personal belongings and for following safety instructions. We are not liable for external services or venues.

7. Photos and Media

At some events we may take photos or short videos for community communication (for example Instagram). If you do not want to appear in media, tell the organizers at the event and we will respect that.

8. Data Protection
