🎈 Let’s go to Warstein for WIM!
🔥 Once a year, Warsteiner Internationale Montgolfiade (WIM) lights up the sky with hundreds of hot air balloons from all over the world 🌍 ... and of course we’re going to be there! 🟣💟 Expect magical skies, glowing nights, and vibes you’ll never forget.
✨ A Sky Full of Color
Picture this: the sun sets, the sky turns orange, and suddenly over 200 balloons take off together in all colors, shapes, and sizes. From classic striped giants to fun special-shape balloons (hello, flying beer bottle 🍺 and cartoon characters 😍), Warstein becomes a dreamland for photographers, travelers, and anyone who just wants to feel small under something big and beautiful.
🌌 Night Glow Magic
One of the highlights? The famous Night Glow: when balloons stay on the ground but light up in rhythm with music. Imagine a giant glowing dance show of fire and color across the night sky. Pure goosebumps.
🟣 Travel with Us — or Meet Us There
We’re planning a group trip from campus to Warstein, but you’re also welcome to meet us there. Options:
- 🚍 Travel as a group (we’re checking bus options for the easiest ride)
- 🚆 Join via train + shuttle
- 🚗 Carpool with friends

🎟️ Tickets
Day entry to the WIM festival grounds is usually free 🎉 but special shows like the Night Glow may require booking (not sure :D).
📅 A Soft Plan of a Day
- Depart Kamp-Lintfort: morning / midday
- Arrive Warstein: afternoon
- Watch balloon launches + explore food stalls
- Stay for the Night Glow (after sunset 🌌)
- Head back late evening (or optional overnight)
