Amsterdam Day Trip (Zaandam + Amsterdam)
💜 Join us for a day of Dutch charm: from colorful windmills in Zaandam to the canals and culture of Amsterdam.
This is more than a trip — it’s a shared adventure with friends (old and new).
A postcard from the Netherlands
Before reaching Amsterdam, we stop in Zaandam — famous for its historic windmills, green wooden houses, and the unique stacked-house hotel that looks like a fairytale.
It’s the perfect warm-up: take photos with friends, breathe in a bit of Dutch countryside, and start the day together in true student-travel style.
The heart of Dutch life
Amsterdam is one of Europe’s most vibrant capitals: canals that weave through the city, bikes everywhere, world-class museums, cozy cafés, and neighborhoods full of surprises.
We’ll explore together in the morning with a short orientation walk so you feel at home in the city.
After that, you’ll have generous time to enjoy Amsterdam your way:
- Discover museums like the Van Gogh Museum or Anne Frank House
- Stroll along the canals and grab a stroopwafel
- Rent a bike or join a canal boat tour
- Or simply wander with your new travel buddies and let the city surprise you

Please be 15 minutes early to your pick-up. We leave on time.
A second pick-up is at Kleve on both Departure and Return We roll out together with a morning departure from Kamp-Lintfort exact locations are shared with registered students in the WhatsApp group. Please arrive a little early so we can leave as one crew..
Kleve was chosen as an OTW pickup location; because students from our Campus in Kleve and those living in Düsseldorf, Krefeld and other areas can join us there easily at those times. They can also return home easily at our return hour because there will be a lot of time before the last trains and buses.

The return time may be subject to possible variations depending on external factors such as: traffic conditions, boarding, etc...

The plan
- Morning departure from Kamp-Lintfort with a pick-up in Kleve
- First stop: Zaandam windmills and houses
- Then straight to Amsterdam, where you’ll enjoy a long, generous stay in the city
- Evening return to Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort
(We’ll share the exact timetable with registered students by WhatsApp — what matters is, you’ll get a full day to enjoy Amsterdam without stress.)

Important notes
- Wear comfortable shoes.
- Take food or snacks and water.
- In case we have bad weather, bring umbrella and rain jacket.
- It is mandatory to carry a European ID Card or Passport
Optional add-ons
If we secure discounts (e.g., canal boat tour or museum tickets), you’ll be able to purchase them later as Pretix add-ons after buying your seat.
FAQ
Refunds?
Tickets are non-refundable once the trip is confirmed.
You can easily transfer your ticket to another student up to 48h before departure in Pretix.
However: all payments are collected first. If the minimum number of students is not reached, the trip will be cancelled and 100% of your payment is automatically refunded through Pretix.
Miss the bus?
We leave on time and can’t wait. Please be 15 minutes early at your pick-up.
Alcohol?
No glass on the coach; be respectful to everyone.
Price
€45 – student price
Cost-sharing only (bus costs). This is a non-profit student trip — organized by students, for students.
Tickets are listed as €0 online.
After reserving your seat, please bring €45 in cash to one of our Lounge Tuesday meetings to confirm your place.
We’ve set it up this way to keep things simple, fair, and transparent — no hidden fees, no business middlemen, just us organizing a shared trip together.
It’s our first time travelling as one community, so the idea is to meet, see who’s coming, and make this feel like a shared adventure right from the start.
You’ll have up to one week after reserving to complete your payment.
Reservations that are still pending after that time will be automatically cancelled to free up seats for others.
If you’re joining us from further away (e.g. Kleve, etc.) and can’t attend a Lounge meeting, don’t worry — we’re flexible.

Why register early?
Trips only go ahead if enough students book in time. The earlier you register, the safer the trip is confirmed— and the less chance you miss out on seats.
